Uraline Septembre Hager is a New York-based artist and special education teacher in the New York City public school system. Hager attended Amherst College and received her BFA in Visual Arts from Brooklyn College. Hager also holds a MFA in Visual Arts and a MS in Special Education from Hunter College. Her work is mixed media, usually incorporating sculptural elements, video, and photography. Currently, Hager is working on an installation inspired by her work as a middle school special education teacher. This current work examines the criminalization of our youth within the school environment.
